RINGS

Finally...
I am in posession of one of these crystal rings!!
And these are just the rings I bought during this month:

Not much but I think I love them all.....

Oh btw, I think I'm going crazy with floral stuff. My desktop background is floral, and my bed sheets happen to be floral too!!

What happenened in my birth year 1995

In 1995, the year of your birth, the top selling movie was Toy Story. People buying the popcorn the cinema lobby had glazing eyes when looking at the poster.

In 1995, the world was a different place.
There was no Google yet. Or Tumblr, for that matter.
People were indeed watching movies in the cinema, and not downloading them online. Imagine the packed seats, the laughter, the excitement, the novelty.
Do you know who won the Oscars that year? The academy award for the best movie went to Braveheart. The Oscar for best foreign movie that year went to Antonia's Line. The top actor was Nicolas Cage for his role as Ben Sanderson in Leaving Las Vegas. The top actress was Susan Sarandon for her role as Helen Prejean in Dead Man Walking. The best director? Mel Gibson for Braveheart.
In the year 1995, the time when you arrived on this planet, books were still popularly read on paper, not on digital devices. Trees were felled to get the word out. The number one US bestseller of the time was The Rainmaker by John Grisham. Oh, that's many years ago. Have you read that book? Have you heard of it? Look at the cover!

In 1995... The World Trade Organization, WTO, is established to replace the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade, GATT. The Draupner wave in the North Sea in Norway is detected, confirming the existence of freak waves. Valeri Polyakov completes 366 days in space while aboard the Mir space station, breaking a duration record. U.S. President Bill Clinton invokes emergency powers, to extend a $20 billion loan to help Mexico avert financial collapse Members of the group Patriot's Council are convicted in Minnesota of manufacturing ricin. The 67th Academy Awards take place in Los Angeles, hosted by David Letterman. Jacques Chirac is elected president of France. Japanese police besiege the headquarters of Aum Shinrikyo near Mount Fuji and arrest cult leader Shoko Asahara. South Africa wins the Rugby World Cup. Dozens of US cities, most notably Chicago and Milwaukee, set all-time record high temperatures. Microsoft releases Windows 95. O.J. Simpson is found not guilty of double murder for the deaths of former wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. NASA loses contact with the Pioneer 11 probe. Hacker Kevin Mitnick is arrested by the FBI and charged with breaking into some of the United States' most "secure" computer systems. The final original Calvin and Hobbes comic strip is published. The US National Highway Designation Act ends the federal 55 mph speed limit. The video game of the day was Warcraft II.
That was the world you were born into. Since then, you and others have changed it.
The Nobel prize for Literature that year went to Seamus Heaney. The Nobel Peace prize went to Joseph Rotblat. The Nobel prize for physics went to Martin Lewis Perl from the United States for the discovery of the tau lepton and for pioneering experimental contributions to lepton physics. The sensation this created was big. But it didn't stop the planets from spinning, on and on, year by year. Years in which you would grow bigger, older, smarter, and, if you were lucky, sometimes wiser. Years in which you also lost some things. Possessions got misplaced. Memories faded. Friends parted ways. The best friends, you tried to hold on. This is what counts in life, isn't it?
The 1990s were indeed a special decade. The Nineties saw the beginnings of the World Wide Web, originating at CERN. Email becomes popular. The Soviet Union dissolved. Living standards in East Asia and Europe generally improved. The Cold War ends. Iraqi forces invade Kuwait. A UN coalition force led by the US was sent to the Persian Gulf, and aerial bombing of Iraq began. The Kosovo War took place. The Ethiopian Civil War ends. Dolly, a sheep, is cloned. The Global Positioning System GPS becomes fully operational. Genetically engineered crops are developed for commercial use. Intel develops the Pentium processor. The Java programming language is created. Microsoft released Windows 95. In Los Angeles, riots occur after the police brutality case involving Rodney King. Great Britain hands sovereignty of Hong Kong to China. East Timor breaks away from Indonesian control. US president Bill Clinton was involved in the Lewinsky scandal. Dogme 95 becomes an important artistic movement in European film. Teen soap Beverly Hills 90210 has its long run. Baywatch becomes the most watched show in history. On MTV, reality television makes its beginning. Nelson Mandela is elected president of South Africa. Germany was reunified. The prediction of computer bug Y2K spreads fear.

Do you know what was on the cover of Life that year?
6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... it's 1995. There's TV noise coming from the second floor. Someone turned up the volume way too high. The sun is burning from above. These were different times. The show playing on TV is NewsRadio. The sun goes down. Someone switches channels. There's In The House on now. That's the world you were born in.
Progress, year after year. Do you wonder where the world is heading towards?
1995 was the year
I came up for trial
I listened to his song
And watched the sun
Make the shadows long
...
That's from the song Tomb Of Liegia by Team Sleep.
In 1995, a new character entered the world of comic books: X-Man. Bang! Boom! But that's just fiction, right? In the real world, in 1995, Taylor Atelian was born. And Sterling Beaumon. Malin Reitan, too. And you, of course. Everyone an individual. Everyone special. Everyone taking a different path through life.
It's 2011.
The world is a different place.

What path have you taken?

Top 10 designers of 21st Century

10. Luella
Even though Luella is no longer creating clothes after financial difficulties her designs will be remembered for ever. Worn by celebrities such as Alexa Chung, Zooey Deschanel and Beth Ditto Luella is a mixture of floral fabrics and fun feminine styling. If you’re wearing a bow in your hair right now, that trend was started by Luella on the catwalk back in 2008.
9. Celine
If it’s clean simple lines that your looking for then look no further than Celine. Catwalk trends started from the designer are camel coats and wide leg trousers to name a few. Celine creates collection after collection that speaks to the working woman who likes to look good without compromising on comfort. Masculine tailoring is a key style to any Celine collection. Celebrities who love Celine include Kate Bosworth, Kylie and Blake Lively. A key look for s/s11 for Celine is the tan leather top.
8. Ralph Lauren
Ralph Lauren has been on the fashion scene for over three decades now and is still creating clothes that people aspire to wear. The label captures all that is America, preppy, sporty and classic. Ralph himself is the all American father and looks towards time periods such as the great recession for inspiration for his collections. Jeans are of course a staple as is the white classic shirt for women. The polo player has become a symbol of RL and is instantly recognisable across the globe. Celebrities who love to wear Ralph Lauren include Kanye West, Mary-Kate Olsen and Christina Aguilera
7. Givenchy
Gothic and glamour are two of the key characteristics to a Givenchy outfit. The French label is extremely popular with the celebrities gracing the red carpet, including Zoe Saldana, Liv Tyler and Natalie Portman. Givenchy makes no apologies for over the top designs, such as floor length black lace, sheer to show the naked body underneath or the ruffled vibrant purple and tie-dyed gown that Zoe Saldana wore to this years Oscars. When it comes to Couture, a designer would have to work hard to beat the designs of Givenchy.
5. Armani
Armani is another designer that captures the American way of living. The label, created by Georgio Armani is famous for its fabulously designed suits yet today celebrities insist on wearing Armani’s creations to events such as the Emmy’s, the Oscars’ and the Grammy’s. His sculptured designs were spotted on Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce and Salma Hyeck, proving that the Armani dress is created for real women with real curves. A good friend of Georgio Armani is Victoria Beckham who has been known to show up on the red carpet in one of the designers wonderful creations
4. Marc Jacobs
Marc Jacobs is a fun, flirty collection which captures a woman’s form perfectly. His latest collection for s/s11 was the epitome of 70′s glamour and can be spotted on celebrities such as Nicole Richie, Anne Hathaway and Eva Mendes. Victoria Beckham is a huge fan and friend of Marc Jacobs and even posed in a carrier bag for his recent ad campaign, a little tongue in cheek humour to poke fun at Victoria’s obsession with shopping. A key piece from the MJ latest collection has to be the purple and maroon split to the thigh dress which screams seventies sexiness
3. Louis Vuitton
Marc Jacobs not only designs for his own line he also produces a huge collection for Louise Vuitton, season after season. How does he get the time to do all this and still manage to create pieces that are original and unique? Louis Vuitton is famous more than anything for its logo handbags that throughout the nineties everybody wanted an LV adorned bag. This season however LV brought back the glamour of the fifties and clothes that celebrated the female form rather than hide it. This skirt and corset pictured has to be the most popular look from the catwalk for a/w 10 with celebrities such as Daisy Lowe, Alexa Chung and Katie Holmes.
2. Alexander McQueen
Since his death earlier this year Alexander McQueens talent for designing has been celebrated all over the world. His vision and imagination was like no other designers. McQueen created not only pieces of fashion but pieces of art. For one collection he sent a model down the runway with a plain white dress on, and as she stood on a spinning floor a paint gun was sprayed at her to create a piece of fashion that was completely artistic and put a show together that wowed the fashion judges. This show is still talked about now. Celebrities that love McQueen include models Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, Sarah Jessica Parker and most recently Lady GaGa who wore some of his pieces to the MTV music awards including his 15 inch high shoes.
1.Chanel
Karl Largerfeld, the key designer at Chanel, has to be crowned as the No.1 designer with his creation of Chanel suits and magnificent shows he puts on season after season. Coco Chanel made the matching suit famous in monochrome, pink and  sorbet yellow and every fashionista worth their weight in gold should own or be trying to own a 2.5 Chanel handbag. Most celebrities have worn Chanel down the carpet but big fans include muse and singer Lily Allen, Alexa Chung, Diane Kruger, Rachel Bilson, Jessica Alba, Rihanna and Beyonce. Key looks from this season is the fur boots, tweed suit and white tights. Chanel seems to be only going better and is constantly breaking barriers including featuring plus size model Crystal Renn in the recent s/s11 show, when other designers are still behind the times and only use size 0 models. Long live Chanel.

You Pea Brain!

I dissected a brain today!! And this is me just being normal with the brain, as you can see blowing a kiss and all.

The brain was all like mooshy and gooey...and you can like smell the blood, I think that was the worst part of it. Me, Mary and Amy all had a turn in dissecting the brain and it was kinda hard cos it JUST defrosted! Mary said they looked like steak then Amy goes "Yeah! We eat it!!" ahhaa...yes my stupid friends <3

Hehe I caught my teacher on camera..it was an accident but oh wells.

Yeah so that was it...and I just did all this homework on the brain we dissected today....DARN THAT

Gloomy Sunday Evening

I don't particularly hate rain, in fact I love it. But when I've got a swimming carnival the next day, this has to be keeping me on my toes. I was so excited for it, it's my last swimming carnival as a juniour student and  this rain better not wreck it for me!! Anyway when I got home from church, I had nothing to do other than tumblr and facebook. Of course I have hours of homework just stacked up and waiting for me but there is NO way in me sitting down to do them. NEVER EVER!! So I got onto tumblr and saw a increase in followers! (whipeeeeeee~)

Anyway yeah I went to have a lie down after hours of internet browsing, in my brothers room because it happened to be the closest to where I was and this was what I was greeted with.

It seems as if my baby brother was building some sort of castle. Does he want to get to Narnia or something... And I'm not even allowed to take it down... He was like (Baby brother) "You take that down! I kick you!!" And god believe me, his kicks hurt. So I didn't even go near it other than taking a photo of it to preserve the silly memory. Then I got motivated into taking photos with my brother's new phone...and the quality is so good what the heck. It can't even compare to my crappy old F480i...
So I present you my bookshelf!! My mum has this thing with cute things, so she decided we buy a 'bubble framed kiddy bookshelf" and who am I kidding I'm 16 for goodness sake!!

And she has this thing with lego's as well...funny eh.

And off I go into my room....which happens to be in a horrible mess...

I cannot possibly show you my whole room...since it's in a bit of a pigsty but a proportion of it may be harmless to the human eye. But as you can see...this is in quite a mess as well...I remember telling myself that I'll keep my lovely table clean..Yeah well so much for that idea!!

The only thing I like about my room is this:

Despite my mum's hate to this, I keep printing out nice pictures from my tumblr onto my wall.. But my mum's hate towards this is ridiculous, she tells me off EVERY TIME she's in my room. She's like "It's messy and you're wasting ink on pointless things! Why do you even do this!!" EH mums these days...

2011 Zara Wishlist

It's been ages since my last post so I'll be bombarding you with photos and words with this post.
School started and boy, I don't even want to talk about it. The pressure of being the last year in Junior High School plus the School Certificate exam...but regardless, I'm handling fine.
And the heat!! It's never been hotter, I mean 45 degrees? That's hot enough to burn a house down! (Well...maybe not but in my life, it definitely can). So yeah, that's basically it. It doesn't get interesting than that. But what's interesting is my Zara wishlist. So here I go.

I've never been into Zara, but tumblr got me into it. And besides, I think it suits me the best anyway. I've never been the typical ruthless ripped jeans, belly top type of girl. I think Zara suits me rather well!
First above all....I need bags. Bags Bags Bags, like what the hell when was the last time I bought a bag.

SQUARE MESSENGER BAG WITH BUCKLE

The price is appalling but I can't set my eyes off of it.
It's $79.00 UD, so about $80.00AUD roughly.

CUBE MESSENGER BAG

This is about 50AUD so it's a little more affordable than the previous bag yet equally as cute!

Just saying...why don't I own one of these? Who ever invented beads on shoes, you are the ultimate genius.

Some more shoe fan girl-ing, I've always been a flower type of girl...elegant yet so viciously eye grasping. Darn it. I need you....you attractive floral oxford.

Christmas Sweaters!!! Ahh!! I've never owned this, and considering the lowest temperature ever hit in Winter, Australia was barely below 0, I don't need these to keep me warm. But they're so cute and fluffy. I guess this winter I'll be in one of these, and maybe even sweating in one of them.

Okay....trousers aren't in right now...but this suede coloured freaks are calling my name.
Someone buy me these...I have far too many tops that these will go well with!!

And, this pearl knit woven cardigan. It's simple but I want one...it looks warm and comforting almost as if someone would run for me for a hug when I'm wearing them.

That's about it, but I'll be re packing you with other brand wishlists soon enough!!

xoxo
