Autumn Holidays

Time flies by real quick, Year 11 Term 2 is commencing in 2 days.
If you've been wondering what I've been up to lately, (since the last time I blogged) my life was basically jam-packed and believe me when I say so. Term 1 of Year 11, it felt so unreal and awkward and the amount of workload had my dark circles drooping down to my chin. Thinking back, I'm like "How the heck did I survive?" But I guess when life gives you lemons, you gotta squash that thing and make lemonade. The term concluded with a 5 day test week, and wow that was a hell of a challenge.

Thursday: English Adv
               : Chemistry
Friday : Mathematics
Monday: Society & Culture
Tuesday: Economics
             : Mathematics Ext 1
Thursday: Studies Of Religion (1)

And the 2nd Thursday right after out 9:55am exam, a group of friends and I went to watch the HUNGER GAMES. Straight out. Best movie ever. It had me from crying to laughing to being angry then to crying again, the movie had me experiencing all different emotions...brilliant, absolutely brilliant.

Then off I was onto my two weeks of holiday before Term 2 of Year 11.

First week:

Easter show with Amy.

View from the Ferris Wheel

Golfing with Parents

A little get-together with my college friends from Discovery (But no photos from that day ㅠ~ㅠ)
So just some selfies I took on the day.

Rest of the week through Instagram (dahee_k)

Second Week:

Basically a week of living hell.
From Monday ~ Friday I was at Mathematics tutoring college. During whole week we covered Calculus. Need I say more on how terrible the week went?
200 pages of Calculus homework, and once again had me thinking "How did I do it?"

I did go shopping in the last few weeks, definitely packed on my knitwear. And as I mentioned on Twitter, I found the perfect coat for this winter! (Thanks Jenny if you're reading this :-))

Well that pretty much sums up what I've been up to the past 2~3 weeks. And obviously I won't be blogging as often as I would like to (#lifeofanasianyear11) but I will be recounting every now and then so visit often you guys...!

Quay West -- Magenta Shore

When my parents told me that they've booked us a holiday to Magenta Shore up near the Quay West I was so happy. I was up and ready to release my bottled up childishness that was hiding deep down myself HAHA. Then Mum hit me with a "Oh btw, you're the oldest kid there"...Damn that (Meaning I had to be mature and SENSIBLE) We went to the place with three other families so that totalled to eleven kids (including myself) and eight adults and mind you I've never seen these people before so it was going to be pretty damn awkward. Surprisingly not though, the parents put all the kids to one house and at first sure yeah it was awkward as hell...I had to break the ice with a "So...how old are you guys?" And they were all so eager to answer which I found cute, so I had to play the leader role with the ten of them tailing me everywhere I go.. Overall it was super fun.

Here are some photos (not much) from the trip.

I personally really like this photo ^

We checked in at 12pm and went to find the Villas

After unpacking Hannah, Steph and I headed to the rain regardless of the pouring rain. With no umbrella. Thug LIFE
You can't see from the photos, but it was rainy and windy and just so...refreshing.

Then right after beach we gathered all the kids to head to the indoor pool at reception!

I think that's the end of this post! There were photos of BBQ and when we were all huddled up in a room but I don't think the kids would like me putting up photos of them so I'll stop here! Thanks for reading!

DIY mini-studded collar!

Procrastinating whilst making Chemistry notes on Earth Metals lead me to Clothesencounters' Studded Collar DIY video! And of course, I would do anything to avoid studying. So there I was feeling inspired and Artsy when it came to my mind that I had a pair of studded sandals that were wrecked and ready to be thrown away. So I quickly went and grabbed those.

Look how badly wrecked they are! Poor shoe :'( They're even missing some studs!

Then next I cut up the shoe so that I was only left with the studded strips!

Then if you peel off the leather surface at the backside of the strip then this is shown. You then undo each claw(?)

After I've pulled out all the studs

And surprisingly there were a lot of studs within the shoe!!

And these are the left overs of the shoes
R.I.P

Then I figured I'll just stud the collar of my denim blouse!

Plain

Process

Finished! I decided to only stud the tip (diamond shaped)

+ My new turquoise phone case hehe (I like these type of photos..blurry reminds me of a busy NY scenary)

What I'm supposed to be doing....

I hope you enjoyed this post! I know I did!

$86,000 < 86,000 seconds

I found this quote really inspiring.

"Imagine, at the start of each morning you were given $86,400. You have to spend this money. You can't invest your money and you can’t save it for a rainy day. The money that you don't use you lose! How would you spend that money? Each day this happens to us, but with something much more valuable than money, OUR TIME.

Each and every day we are allocated with 86,400 seconds. However, for some of us we don’t think the importance of these seconds, but rather take them for granted, and as such squander them on less important pursuits.
However, these seconds are much more important than money. While you can save money and make more of it, you can’t do that with time. Time is non-renewable, once it is gone it is gone forever."

Bondi Beach

Bondi Beach on the 3rd!
It was 28 degrees! So hot!

There were so many people on the day! The water was so cold but the sun was soaring hot...
The waves gulped me..but my friend taught me how to survive the massive waves! Hehe
